Chevy Problems

Chevy's main problems are coming from after market upgrade and performance modules. Problems also come in from overheated aluminum head gaskets then a dramatic cool down, this would scrap the coating off the head gaskets this allows combustion to leak into coolant passages. This also leads to undue pressure in the cooling system and engine oil contamination. They have also found some bad information on cracked injectors and high engine temperatures.http://www.ehow.com/about_5985935_problems-duramax.html

Motors and their problems

The Ford 6.0 was only made to pass emissions tests and to beat competing vehicle makers. I t has its problems but other than those problems it is a good engine. The motor has to have an (EGR) which are prone to clogging due to build up of oil and soot. A  failed EGR can cause high coolant temps and can contribute to coolant lose. There are a few more problems with this engine, but if you get by those you will have a reliable and strong truck. If there are any other problems here is a sight to relate to for your trucks problems. http://www.internationalpowerstroke.com/6.0_problems.html
